Etisalat Nigeria has unveiled their first set of ambassadors– rapper Panshak ‘Ice Prince’ Zamani and Olamide Adedeji have signed endorsement deals with the telecommunications company. We are told the deals have been under the works for a long while with the telecoms company being sceptical about going down the ‘endorsement craze’ path which have been threaded by rival companies MTN Nigeria and Globacom. A rep for Ice Prince has confirmed the deal; ‘Yes it’s true, we’ve been on it for a while but it finally came
through’. NET earlier reported that Ice Prince had turned down an
offer made by Globacom. demanding for $1m instead. The deal never pulled through. Olamide’s manager Alex Okeke could not be reached as at the time of this report. We are told the deals which cover only Nigeria will last for a year and after then would be renewed if the company
deems it fit. NET reported earlier that D’banj had also inked a deal
with the telecoms company with
hismanager Tony Nwakolor telling us an announcement would be made in due time. We are told 2face Idibia might follow.
